ABOUT ME

I've enjoyed many roles in my life: sister, mother, grandmother, teacher, writer, Civil War reenactor, but through them all, the constant has been my love for animals, especially horses, so naturally, they are frequent characters in the stories I write.  The white horse pictured to the left is Travis, a Tennessee Walker, and a very mischevious fellow.  Here we are riding with Morgan's Raiders in Jackson, OH.  One of the local ladies had baked some bread for the soldiers which Travis ate right off the table!

I live in south central Indiana near the Ohio border on a small ridge top farm with 8 cats, 4 dogs, 4 horses and a 1951 Ford 8N tractor.  I am a career public school teacher, currently on disability, from one of the most exciting places to learn I have ever had the good fortune to experience: School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, OH.  I taught Creative Writing there for almost 25 years and could never ask for a better job because of all the talented students with whom I had the pleasure of writing.
